Covington is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 13,783 at the time of the 2000 census. Covington
was officially incorporated as a city on August 31, 1997. In 2006,
new Covington downtown businesses included a new Wal-Mart, a Kohls,
and an Applebees. Fast growth is expected to continue in the area
due to the continued widening and modifications done on Washington
State Route 18. New businesses arriving in 2008 include Costco behind
the Fred Meyer and a Home Depot with a shopping center next to Jenkins
Creek Elementary School. |
